On The Frontlines: Eric Hausler

We asked Eric about how to “fit” evangelism into a busy schedule. The context started with thinking about busy pastors and church planters, but the answer is fully applicable to anybody with a busy schedule that wants to think and act evangelistically. Questions for Thought or Discussion:

1) Think about the past week, what opportunities were there to talk to people? Not from the perspective of beating yourself up because you didn’t do it, but just thinking about if you would’ve taken the time and energy (no small thing) to strike up a conversation or further a conversation instead of wanting to move on to the next thing. How many opportunities were there?

2) Take the coming week, and think of every person you come in contact with as a ‘divine appointment.’ That doesn’t mean you have to talk to everyone, but be aware that each one is an opportunity, and talk to some of them. You don’t have to present the gospel from Genesis to Revelation. Maybe just ask how they are doing and draw them out a bit….see where God might take a couple of opportunities.
